December "Friday Favorites"

Clearly it’s been a busy time around here and this month’s “Friday Favorites” are coming to you on the second Friday of the month. But even though it’s busy and sometimes stressful I believe there is so much to celebrate! This month’s Friday Favorites for the most part have a holiday theme.

  1. One Day in December by Josie Silver - So this is such a cute Christmas-y rom-com of a book, making it the perfect read for December! I actually listened to it as an audiobook and the narrator did an amazing job bringing this book to life. The story tracks the lives of a few friends over the course of 10 years after a chance encounter. It’s the type of book you hope becomes a movie because it is just that good. This also happens to be a book from Reese Witherspoon’s book club. But I promise I have lots of other good book recommendations that you can’t find on her list haha. Find it anywhere you find books! I borrowed the audiobook from my local library on the Libby app!

  2. Behold by Lauren Daigle - Of course I had to recommend a Christmas album! I first heard this album I think during Christmas 2016 on Spotify. It has become one of my all time favorite Christmas albums and that is saying a lot coming from a person who loves Christmas music! It’s classy and warm and cozy. It was my first introduction to the ultra-talented Lauren Daigle! Last year I had hoped to purchase the album on vinyl but I never did. The amazingly thoughtful guy that he is, Darrell ordered it for me this year! It’s even better when it’s playing on my baby blue record player! Find it here.

  3. Sugar Paper x Target Collab - I love love love wrapping presents. Like it’s one of my favorite things about Christmas. I also love the simplistic sophistication of Sugar Paper. So the fact that Sugar Paper continues to do a collaboration at Christmas time with Target for decor and wrapping supplies, just has me over the moon. Check out their patterns and trinkets at your local Target or online. These items go fast so don’t miss out! Annnddd my favorite finishing touch this year is some velvet ribbon! (Find it at Target!)

  4. Noelle - This is an adorable new Christmas movie on Disney+ that I’m positive will become a classic. Starring Anna Kendrick as Santa’s daughter, it’s a fun, heartwarming story of what happens when a new Santa takes the reigns. Great for the whole family! Find it on Disney+.

  5. Aldi’s Cheese Advent Calendar - For those who know me well, you know I’m cheese obsessed!! I heard about Aldi’s Cheese Advent last year but not until it was too late to purchase it. This year, when I heard the date they’d hit shelves, I put a reminder in my phone! No joke!! While it might be too late to pick one up at your nearest Aldi’s, you’ll definitely want to make a reminder for early November 2020 to pick up one next year! (Find it at Aldi’s)

What are some of your favorite things this time of year?
