Galentine's Day: Baked Honey and Goat Cheese Pears

Recently, a few friends and I got together for an early and informal “Galentine’s Day” evening of appetizers (mostly cheese related, haha) and a chance to catch up.

This was a classy, flavorful app that was super quick and simple! I found this appetizer on Pinterest and I followed it almost exactly, with the difference being that I bought a different brand of goat cheese and it calls for “good honey” where I just used your average store brand honey in a little bear container! It worked JUST fine, haha.

I could see this appetizer working great for a holiday party or to mix up your usual appetizer selection for a girls night in!

Check out Honest Cooking’s recipe.

*Clearly, this recipe isn’t nut free… Darrell couldn’t partake in this one but that was okay because it was Galentine’s Day! For those avoiding nuts, you could possibly replace the pecans with some dried fruit or forgo this additional topping altogether and stick with the honey and goat cheese to keep it simple!
