Grilled Gorgonzola and Pear

Can you tell I’ve had lots of grilled cheese for lunch this week? Hehe. Yeah, I’m sharing another chronicle of Fancy Grilled Cheese already, but it’s my blog so I have that creative freedom… And if you don’t like grilled cheese, you may not want to be my friend / follow this blog anyway ;) JK. So still using a little Havarti today but mixing things up with a few other ingredients and switching up the fruits on ya!

Makes 1 sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Schar Gluten Free Artisan White Bread

  • 1 slice of Havarti

  • A few slices of a pear

  • Splash of balsamic vinegar

  • A sprinkle of chopped baby spinach

  • Gorgonzola crumbles

  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided

Directions

  1. Melt 1 tbsp butter in skillet over medium-low heat. Add bread and coat both sides of each slice with the melted butter.

  2. Build sandwich: layer Havarti slice, pear slices, chopped spinach, tiny splash of balsamic vinegar, Gorgonzola crumbles. Top with second slice of bread.

  3. Add 1 tbsp butter to pan and flip once sandwich begins to brown or cheese begins to melt.

  4. Once both sides have reached desired browning, plate and serve warm.
