Silhouettes & Cute Office Accessories

When I started looking for inspiration as to what kind of artwork or decor to display in our apartment, I knew I wanted to have some of our engagement and wedding photos framed but I also wanted something portraying Penny, our rescue mutt. Call me crazy but I had a silhouette done of our dog. One day when we hopefully have kiddos, I definitely want to have their silhouettes done too… I envision the cutest little gallery wall of their precious profiles. Aren’t silhouettes just so timeless and classic??

Back around Mother’s Day, Gathered Living started offering this simple process to have a silhouette done (intended for children, but they didn’t tell me I was crazy for asking to buy one of my dog LOL) by snapping a photo and purchasing a digital download. I loved this because, if you haven’t looked into silhouettes before, there are some pricey places out there. It’s just $24 and takes about a week to get the image back. Plus, then you can print as many as you’d like!! So great gifts for mamas, grandparents, etc.! Purchase a custom silhouette here! :)

I printed the image on cardstock with our home printer (although if you wanted something more professional, I’m sure you could have it printed at Staples or Office Depot for cheap). Then I cut it down to a 5”x7” using my Cricut and framed it. If anyone with a Cricut needs help figuring out how to do this - because getting it to cut right where I wanted it to honestly wasn’t as straightforward as I had hoped - let me know and I’ll do a little video walking you through it!!

I ordered this gold bamboo frame with the intention of hanging it on the wall but I didn’t read the description or I would have known it’s a tabletop frame… oops lol. Oh well. I love this gold bamboo trend!! It’s so sophisticated and refined.

You can probably tell I love gold by all the gold desk accessories! Cute office decor/accessories/supplies bring me joy and genuinely excite me to sit at my desk and knock out projects. Years ago, I purchased the Nate Berkus gold dog tape dispenser (which resembles a dachshund) along with the gold stapler and scissors at Target. The collection (I don’t think they were necessarily all 3 part of a true collection but were available at the same time) is long gone but I have found the exact stapler I have from another retailer and I’ve linked some other cute gold desk accessories below!
