Getting Ready for the Beach

Today I’m sharing some of my latest Amazon purchases bought in preparation for the beach! As we prepare for vacation, I’ve ordered all our necessities online (the vast majority of stores are still closed here) and Amazon has had some great finds here recently, particularly for accessories!

CAT EYE SUNGLASSES

WATCH BANDS

For Valentine’s Day, I bought Darrell a new band for his Apple watch and realized how affordable “cuter” bands were for myself so I bought a faux leather band at the same time for my own watch. Recently though, we’ve been working out more and the faux leather one just isn’t ideal for that kind of activity but in the process of moving, I can’t find the pinkish color sport band that came with my watch. I wanted to get one before vacation and I had seen a lot of people wearing these white bands lately and I love how crisp and clean they look so I found one on Amazon and it came in like literally the next day which I feel like hasn’t happened in the Prime world for a while now with all the COVID-19 impacts so I was very pleasantly surprised!

SILICON WEDDING BAND

While shopping for the new watch band, I also started looking for a silicon wedding band because I’m paranoid about losing my set, especially like traveling and being on the beach and what not. Plus it’s just a good idea I think for lots of practical reasons. My biggest concern in my hunt for a silicon band is that I didn’t want it to be thick/wide. I have a VERY thin wedding band and I LOVE it so I wanted my silicon band to be as thin as possible. I’m loving this band (which I also purchased in white just to keep things simple) and it’s the perfect width! It’s also very comfortable and most times I don’t even realize it is there! It was funny because I mentioned to my sister that I had bought this watch band and wedding band and her immediate response was “Send me the links!” so that gave me the idea for this post! I can definitely see how mamas of littles would love a silicon wedding band. This one is only $7.99! (And the watch band is only $5.99!!!)

THE PERFECT TRAVEL BAG

I’ve also linked my go-to travel bag, which to be transparent I bought somewhere else years ago but it is available on Amazon and goes along with this post’s theme! I love, love, love my Longchamp Le Pilage Shoulder Bag (large, navy). It has been my go-to bag for all sorts of things, not just travel, for the seven years I’ve had it… from work bag to gym bag to purse when I needed something large, it’s even transported my laptop on many occasions, it’s just a quality purchase that I am so glad I made 7 years ago. I purchased it the summer I interned in D.C. and it was the perfect bag for carrying my heels (I’d wear better walking shoes for the commute to work) plus all the other things I needed. It also folds up and is therefore perfect for packing in your suitcase and using on trips!

(You can find a whole round up of other shirts from Loft in this blog post!) Jeans are my favorites, from Old Navy and of course I’m wearing the shoes I live in this time of year: Jack Rogers! These fun little earrings ARE ONLY $1 from Shein! I’ve had both great and terrible experiences shopping with Shein but I recently ordered a bunch of cheap earrings and a couple tops that I am LOVING! NECKLACE

This necklace isn’t on LIKETOKNOWIT but I wanted to still link it because it is my new favorite necklace! It’s just so dainty and classy. I discovered GLDN jewelry quite a while ago and had been eyeing this particular necklace for a long time but just never went through with purchasing it. Earlier this year I decided to finally order one and I am just so pleased with it! It’s a perfect piece for “everyday” wear! I love the pearl (I’m just a sucker for pearls in general) and I love how delicate and feminine it looks/feels. You can find this necklace HERE.
