Gluten Free Stroganoff

Stroganoff was my favorite type of Hamburger Helper growing up. So when I went gluten free in 2015, I was excited to come across this amazing gluten free alternative! It tastes pretty spot on, I would imagine the only difference from the real stroganoff maybe being the texture of the noodles!

When we were preparing to leave Berea to come to NYC last month, we made a quick Walmart run to stock up on a few items in case it would be hard to find some of our favorite staples when we arrived. I was excited to come across Walmart’s Gluten Free Stroganoff Dinner Kit in the Richmond, KY Walmart since I had only ever seen it in the Frankfort Walmart and maybe the Hamburg location. Darrell isn’t a big fan of it and it’s way more than I can eat on my own so I don’t buy it often but I figured I’d pick up a box. It was an easy meal to throw together one day recently when Darrell and I wanted to eat different things. I have also seen some Great Value Gluten Free Dinner Kits with chicken options (like this Buffalo Style Chicken Kit and this Chicken Bacon Ranch Kit) when I happen to find these in stores!

Like name brand Hamburger Helper kits, this meal is easy to throw together and requires few additional ingredients. All you’ll need to add for this particular dinner kit is ground beef, water and milk!

Have you tried this stroganoff? Do you think the noodles compare?
