Internet Friends
Last weekend, I met up with two internet friends - fellow blogger gals - for a day of fun! We had the best time hopping around to different thrift shops, brunching and enjoying the scenes of the Blue Ridge Mountains on a beautiful autumn day! We planned to go apple picking but arriving late in the season meant there were no apples left hahaha. Oops! However, the scenery made up for it! What a gorgeous slice of God’s creation! With the scent of apple pie close by and tons of sunlight beaming down on the mountainside, it was the perfect setting for chatting all things blogging, practicing our photography skills and learning so much from one another! It was the sweetest day and I’m so happy to call these ladies real life friends now!!
Speaking of, you should give these gals a follow on Instagram and check out their blogs!

Apple Picking Outfit
Apples!! In a lot of ways they make me think of elementary school..? And this outfit is kind of a grown up take on an outfit I likely wore as a child hahaha. But it’s so cute, comfy, casual and feminine! This scarf was actually a Ross find - $10 for a Tahari reversible blanket scarf! The opposite side is a cute houndstooth print! Sorry I can’t link it because I can’t find it anywhere on the internet, but I’ve linked some similar scarves in the Shop This Post section below. I’ve detailed the rest of my outfit below!
I Finally Found the Perfect Turtleneck!
Y’all I love a good turtleneck! I have loved turtlenecks basically forever haha! I don’t know why. They’re classic though. I bought a few last year and haven’t been pleased with them so I thought I’d try an Amazon find. And it’s the best!! I want to buy more in other colors now lol. This turtleneck has some stretch to it, making cling to the right places to look slimming and it’s a fabric that doesn’t make me feel exposed despite its fitted nature - does that make any sense?? The fabric composition is 95% rayon, 5% spandex.
Denim Overall Dress
Another amazing Amazon find!! I am pleased with the quality. I’ve washed it once so far so I’ve not had it long but it’s nice! I went with a size 10 to fit my bust and stomach area. It was mostly great once I adjusted the straps (they’re a bit tricky but once you figure them out it’s not hard) but the length looked ill-fitting. So I decided to cut it off. I’m not a big fan of the distressed look, although I mean I have distressed jeans and I’ll wear that kind of clothing, it’s just not my absolute favorite, so I had intentions to hem the bottom but once I cut it I decided not to break out the sewing machine. I think I’ll see how it washes up next time and go from there.
Discounted Hunter Boots
I love my Hunter Boots! I wore my previous pair for years, until they fell apart, and wanted to replace them. I wasn’t really interested in paying full price so I’ve kept an eye on Poshmark, waiting for the right pair to come along. And they did! I recently purchased this pair of the Original Tall Black Gloss to replace my old pair. They just make my heart happy, I’m not sure why. If you’re looking for a way to purchase Hunter Boots and not pay full price, I highly recommend trying Poshmark! The pair I just purchased were in mint condition and came with the Hunter brand care products, for just $60 plus shipping! Definitely monitor Poshmark for brand names you love and don’t be afraid to counter offer if you find something you really like - just know that placing a counter offer means if they accept it, you will be automatically charged! I recently heard of someone who didn’t realize that and ended up with 3 Barbour jackets!! So just FYI friends!
I’ve linked my boots on the Hunter website, however I didn’t purchase them there. Since Poshmark is a resell website, I can’t share the exact pair I purchased but I highly recommend checking out Poshmark!
Women’s Black Satin Hair Bow
This lovely bow is only $3.99!! It’s from Forever 21 and it has been a great, affordable accessory to dress up all sorts of outfits! I love that it has a large French barrette clip which is ideal for my thick hair!

For those curious, we visited The Orchard at Altapass. It’s adorable and a place I’d love to visit again, maybe just earlier in apple picking season!! :)
Thank you so much, Emily, for these photos!!
