3 Ways I Manage My Inattentive ADHD (ADD) in A Tech-Driven Society

I’ve been pretty open in the past about being diagnosed with inattentive ADD (I’m not hyperactive, therefore I really don’t like to use the term “ADHD”) in late 2019. It’s been almost two years since I first learned about this disorder and that I’m someone who is affected by it. Learning this about my brain has resulted in mixed emotions but overall I’m grateful to know a little more about what makes me tick. Everyone is unique and I’m glad to know more about how my brain functions. I think we could all benefit from better understanding how our brains work and how technology impacts us in different ways. Fall Tent Camping in the Smokies

Earlier this month, we braved the forecast and met up with some of our Kentucky friends for a weekend of tent camping in Tennessee’s beautiful Smoky Mountains. It is so nice to live within driving distance of friends and family, definitely one of the perks of leaving NYC. We may have kinda sorta been waterboarded the first night when our tent leaked but Darrell saved the weekend (and our sanity) by going out as soon as Walmart opened and buying the largest tarp for sale! Read more about our camping adventure in this post!

My Gluten Free Journey

September marks 5 years of my gluten free journey! 2015 seems like so long when I think about all the life changes that occurred in that timeframe but it kinda also feels like just yesterday! I remember the frustration and difficulty of those first few weeks and so many crazy disaster recipe experiments along the way. Today I’m reflecting on these past five years and talking about the path to discovering my gluten intolerance.
