Billie Shaving Cream
Gluten can seriously sneak up in the craziest places. Finding gluten free beauty products hasn’t been an easy task, so I thought it would be helpful to share some of my favorites as an ongoing series on The Amateur Apron.
One thing you might not know about me is that I love branding. I love to study brands and I have a deep appreciation for companies that do branding well. So sometimes I care a bit too much about the presentation of products which doesn’t work out so great because it might be a super cute product or have adorable packaging but the actual item is garbage. But exciting news, sweet friends: that’s NOT THE CASE with Billie razor subscriptions!
First off, the customer experience is top notch! From initially subscribing, to receiving your razors, it’s been fabulous!
I know there are other razor subscription services out there like the Dollar Shave Club but come on… that’s so… manly. And we’re all clear on the situation at the store… overpriced razors and a bunch of commercials with singing ladies in swimsuits and shiny legs… definitely not MY reality. Billie, on the other hand, is fun and real. Heck, they advertise with women photographed actually using their product - and I don’t mean on their hairless, shiny leg - on their real leg or armpit.
The convenience and price point is excellent (the starter kit is only $9, yes really, only N I N E D O L L A R S) and their shaving products aren’t full of a bunch of junk or sprayed out of an aerosol can. All Billie body care products are vegan, gluten free, paraben free, sulfate free, non-GMO, exclude synthetic fragrances and are never tested on animals!
The texture or consistency of Billie shave cream is different from your average shaving cream but I actually prefer it, especially knowing that it’s all natural!
