Southern Salads & Sandwiches on the Balcony
We are loving the balcony life!! It is so nice to have a little area of our own to enjoy the outdoors. That’s one thing we wished we had in NYC and it was a definite perk in picking this apartment. Darrell picked up dinner from a local eatery, Southern Salads and Sandwich Company. This was our first time checking out their restaurant and one that I think we will definitely order from again soon!
I ordered the Harvest Salad with grilled chicken and swapped out the grapes for blue cheese. I went with the recommended raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious! Other toppings that already come with the salad include apples and craisins.
Darrell ordered the Hardwood Smoked Ham Deli Sandwich. His recap: “It was great! Lots of meat! And it was warm.” (*Note he added bacon!) We were surprised adding bacon wasn’t an additional charge. Whether that was an oversight or just business as usual, we’re unsure.
Southern Salads & Sandwich Company has two locations, one in Rock Hill and one in the neighboring community, Fort Mill.
Guys, we are LOVING it here. We’ve only been here a hot minute and still have so much “settling in” to do but wow, this place is great!! :D
And we received exciting news today - the moving truck is scheduled to arrive tomorrow afternoon! I debated sharing a video walk through before the furniture arrived but the reality is, it’s kind of a hot mess express in here with the random boxes, air mattress, odds and ends that await their homes in furniture that will arrived in like 24 hours. So let’s just wait, haha! ;)
