Thankful for 2020

I’m typing this post as we travel up the highway to visit family and Darrell just asked (not knowing what I’m typing about) “What would you think if you woke up and realized everything that had happened in 2020 was just a dream? A long, crazy dream?” Wow. I’m really not sure. That’s a lot to unpack. We agreed we’d be extremely confused, haha. But seriously, I’m pretty sure a lot of us had a year that seems surreal in many ways. It is easy to get caught up in what would’ve / could’ve / should’ve been and I’d be lying if I said I haven’t struggled with those thoughts this year.

Life Update / Major Announcement

COVID impacted us in so many ways and this chapter of our lives looks vastly different than we ever anticipated. We have made the tough decision to end our NYC adventure a lot sooner than planned. We are very happy to share that we’re moving to Rock Hill, South Carolina! (Greater Charlotte, NC area just over the state line)

Spring in NYC

We’ve been in NYC almost a full month now! (Well together anyway - remember Darrell and Penny were here for a month prior to our wedding being cancelled and then re-planned.) It’s such an odd time for everyone all over. It’s definitely made this “transition” very weird for us.

Chicago Road Trip

We recently took a little trip to Chicago between Christmas and New Years. It was a quick adventure to the Windy City before the winter weather gets too crazy and a nice change of scenery before the new year, new routine, (and wedding festivities) begin! Here’s a little round up of where we ate and what we think you should know about each place regarding our food allergies/intolerance, along with some fun places we visited!
