Ever get an idea in your head for a craft project and then put it off forever or start it and then life gets in the way? That’s basically what happened to me when trying to monogram this sweatshirt! I started the design around the first week of October when some family came to visit and then it sat in the office for weeks. I’m boxing up our fall decor as I write this (literally) and we are about to deck the halls for baby Jesus tonight… so talk about last minute, but I really wanted to crank out this adorable pumpkin monogram to wear today so by golly I was up and at it this morning! Cricuting, heat press going and all!! And yes, I called my mother (AKA the Cricuting queen) before 9 am to enlist her expertise. 🤣🎃

Camel Coat Round Up

I’ve rounded up 18 camel coats I’m loving! This is a trend that seems to come and go over recent years but it’s such a classic look, much like a trench jacket, that you really can’t go wrong with investing in one. Last year I bought a cream colored wrap coat since I had so many wedding festivities planned for coat season and I have two other perfectly good coats so I don’t really need one this year but I still love the look and thought a round up post would be super fun for you guys!

TJ's Nut Butter Bar Mix

I love a new Trader Joe’s find!! These Nut Butter Bars are so scrumptious! The mix itself contains nuts so I wasn’t able to share with Darrell, but that just meant more for me!! Haha! I used JIF Peanut Butter and pure maple syrup as the two ingredients needed for the mix.

Apple Picking (Without the Apples)

Apples!! In a lot of ways they make me think of elementary school..? And this outfit is kind of a grown up take on an outfit I likely wore as a child hahaha. But it’s so cute, comfy, casual and feminine! This scarf was actually a Ross find - $10 for a Tahari reversible blanket scarf! The opposite side is a cute houndstooth print! Sorry I can’t link it because I can’t find it anywhere on the internet, but I’ve linked some similar scarves in the Shop This Post section below. I’ve detailed the rest of my outfit below!

Fall Tent Camping in the Smokies

Earlier this month, we braved the forecast and met up with some of our Kentucky friends for a weekend of tent camping in Tennessee’s beautiful Smoky Mountains. It is so nice to live within driving distance of friends and family, definitely one of the perks of leaving NYC. We may have kinda sorta been waterboarded the first night when our tent leaked but Darrell saved the weekend (and our sanity) by going out as soon as Walmart opened and buying the largest tarp for sale! Soup Sundays: Zucchini Corn Chowder

It’s time for the third installment of the Soup Sunday Series!! This is so fun! Have you tried the broccoli cheddar soup or the loaded potato soup? I’d love to hear about your experience! This week I’m sharing a new recipe!! As I’ve mentioned, Darrell isn’t the biggest fan of soup but I’ve found a few he’s grown to love haha. Usually, if it is something thick, he’s open to trying it - which makes a chowder a good option. This recipe is my take on a zucchini corn chowder.
