Yes, I know this is just a picture of a storefront, but goodness aren’t the trees here extra pretty?? The Carolinas are so lovely! We went on a little adventure up to Charlotte earlier this week to finally use a Container Store gift card we received as a wedding gift. Darrell had visited this magical retailer at a California location not long ago and I love perusing their website but this week was my first time visiting the store! Today, I’m sharing our first “haul” from The Container Store! We already having a growing wish list of other organizational goodies we found that day!

Picked up this gem last night!! An early birthday present, I guess you could say! Isn’t she a beaut? This 1968 Singer was a whopping $25 on Facebook Marketplace! 😱 And it works!! I have longed for a sewing machine of my own for quite a while. In NYC, space was so limited and it just wasn’t the right time. Recently, I’ve been talking to my mom extensively about finding a good machine. At first, I just assumed I’d head to a craft store and pick something off the shelf, hoping to stay around $100. Anyone else a sucker for basically anything in a graham cracker crust?? 🙋‍♀️ Baking a gluten free key lime pie is one of the activities on my unofficial summer bucket list and this week I finally checked it off! A new recipe for you all!! And it’s a skillet meal! It feels like forever since I created a new dish and this is a fun one because you can really change it up to fit your family’s preferences! I was inspired by a ground turkey recipe my sister-in-law recently shared with me. Turkey is a no-go for us because of my husband’s poultry allergy but I liked the overall concept and was initally going to just swap out the ground turkey for beef and share another modification blog post about making a recipe work for your particular situation, BUT I ended up creating something entirely different and decided to write my own recipe to share with you guys!!

I’m sure for the majority of my readers / followers, this series is a little off from what you’re more interested in (food, fashion, etc.) but for anyone going through this same season, I hope it is insightful. Sundae Funday

Interrupting the moving tips blog series for Sundae Funday. Okay so we didn’t actually order “sundaes” but we enjoyed ice cream on a Sunday during Ice Cream Month! This afternoon we visited with our extended family here in Rock Hill. We are SO EXCITED to have family in town! It was a blast having lunch together and later checking out a local ice cream shop. P W’s Gourmet Ice Cream is a classic walk-up ice cream stand with an extensive ice cream menu including shakes, concretes, sundaes and cones.
