One of my favorite summer treats prior to going gluten free was the classic Drumstick ice cream cone! Ice cream, chocolate, the crunch… the perfect treat for a summer afternoon! Recently I decided I wanted to try to make a gluten free version at home after finding Joy Gluten Free Sugar Cones in KY. It took a few tries but I perfected it this afternoon! Check out the recipe!

I hadn’t heard of this brand before Darrell mentioned wanting to try some of their products and when we he grabbed a box of the Made Good Chocolate Banana Granola Minis, I spied these granola bars and decided to throw them in the basket!

I had never baked a cake from scratch before and a couple weeks ago I decided his birthday would be the time I give it a try! It was so much fun and it turned out SOOO GOOOOD!!! Like I’m shocked to say this homemade gluten free cake beat even the fancy bakery gluten free cakes I’ve had before!

A couple weekends ago, I woke up on a Saturday morning craving cinnamon rolls. Darrell suggested we find a bakery that has them and go on a little spontaneous breakfast adventure. When we arrived at the bakery, we realized they only made cinnamon rolls if you ordered them in advance.

Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of making salads at home because I feel like it doesn’t matter what I do, they do not taste restaurant-quality and the dressings in particular seem to require a ton of ingredients that I don’t keep on hand. So I end buying weird ingredients and the cost adds up, then the DIY dressings rarely taste awesome and I end up with a bunch of random stuff taking up space in my fridge door or pantry because I needed a tablespoon of it once upon a time. Anyone else feel my pain in this department?? All of that to say, I was pleasantly surprised to LOVE this salad!! So much so, I had a bowl of it again today.

Last night, we tried a recipe for a Radish Cucumber Salad. It was so refreshing and something different to mix up our veggie sides.

I may be from the South (people can say all they want about Kentucky being the mid-west, but clearly they’ve never been to Kansas [aka the true mid-west in my book, also my birthplace] or like Missouri… I digress) but I somehow relocated to the north before ever trying grits! I know, shocking, right??
Read MoreStroganoff was my favorite type of Hamburger Helper growing up. So when I went gluten free in 2015, I was excited to come across this amazing gluten free alternative! It tastes pretty spot on, I would imagine the only difference from the real stroganoff maybe being the texture of the noodles!
